The basic explanation of Ritual Magic is the summoning of Magic through the use of symbols found within LifeSource itself. When written upon a surface and applied any sort of LifeSource to it such as blood, Magic or even Life itself, it works as a channel that summons Magic. Ritual Magic is mostly used by those who do not use Magic directly, but need it to get out of tight situations, strengthen themselves, or make their magic that much stronger.
Ritual Magic works through the use of symbols written upon a surface, as long as there are no break in the writing of the symbols the ritual can be completed successfully. Once drawn, the User must offer LifeSource to the Ritual, usually in the form of blood for most minor Rituals, or even Magic itself. In the more powerful Rituals lives could be needed or even specific offerings.
When Magical Energy is channeled through a Caster's body, symbols form on their bones. These symbols are the after-effect of using LifeSource as Magic. These Symbols, when written upon a surface and exposed to LifeSource summon up Magic depending on which symbols are written and in which order.
Most Users always have ink or animal blood handy to create rituals on the go. Some Magic Users tattoo or paint the symbols on their body to augment their own Magic, though this uses up their own LifeSource and can be extremely dangerous if not used in moderation.
