Hello! You must be itching to make your new character for the world of Strophya!
Before you make your character, there are some basic rules you must follow when coming up with your brave hero or dastrdly villain. Here we will go over the type of races that inhabit Strophya, the different classes to specialize in, and more importantly the various Factions and Lore related to each Race and Class!
Step 1: Choose a Race.
Humans
Race: Humans
Population: High (Highest in Strophya)
Main Region: None (Spread out throughout Strophya)
Factions: Cult of Evergreen, Theysilon Empire
Main Classes: Fighter, Rogue, Mage, Ranger, Gladiator
Main Allies: Beastfolk, Dwarves, Halflings
Main Enemies: Orcs, Elves, Goblins, Demons
Summary: Humans are the most widespread race in Strophya, their swelling numbers spread out throughout the world. In current times they are blamed as a race for the rise of the Theysilon Empire, making races that suffer beneath them, such as Orcs and Elves, spite any human they come across. Though the majority of the Theysilon Empire is comprised of Humans, there are many that do not agree with the Empire and seek to actively bring it down.
Orcs
Regular Orc
Snow Orc
Desert Orc
Race: Orcs
Population: Medium
Main Regions: The Peaks, The Shashallah Desert, The Main Capital
Factions: The Orc Brotherhood
Main Classes: Fighter, Berserker, Warlord
Main Allies: Goblins
Main Enemies: Humans, Elves, Drow, Halflings
Summary: Orcs are an all-male race that inhabits Strophya. They are born warriors and live only to prove their worth in battle. They reproduce asexually through a ritual that involves Blood and Earth Magic. When the Theysilon came into power the first to be targeted were The Orcs and their growing numbers were quickly exterminated, leaving only pockets of survivors that retreated to The Peaks, The Shashallah Desert and the enslaved that serve the Theysilon in The Main Capital. The Orcs harbor a deep hatred for the Theysilon and will stop at nothing to defy the Empire. They are divided into Snow Orcs who live in The Peaks and have pale skin, The Snow Orcs who inhabit The Shashallah Desert in the form of various tribes and clans, and The Central Orcs who are the slaves to the Theysilon Empire and serve them as the vanguard in their army. There is a deep racism between all three types of Orcs, and they do not hesitate to show it when near each other. They have a deep hatred for the Drow who live in The Peaks as they see them as invaders of their birthright that is the mountains.
Elves & Drows
Race: Elves
Population: Low
Main Region: The Ghrithalla Forest
Factions: Elven Shaistur, Cult of Evergreen, The Elven Kingdom
Main Classes: Ranger, Druid, Mage, Rogue

Summary: Elves are an ancient race that rivals humanity in age. They have a deep hatred for the Theysilon as they were almost completely exterminated when they came into power. They survive deep within The Ghrithalla Forest where their Kingdom resides. They have strict laws to not interfere with anyone that is not Elf, though now and then an Elf finds himself or herself outside of Ghrithalla. They excellent Magic users and also have a deep connection with Nature and animals. There are factions within the Kingdom such as The Elven Shaistur that are dedicated to the Gods of Evergreen and have taken direct action against the Theysilon since their self-exile.
Race: Drows

Main Region: The Peaks
Factions: Cult of Evergreen

They are thought to come from a clan of Elves that existed long ago and because of their different skin were banished from the Elvish Kingdom. They live deep inside the mountains of The Peaks and have natural Magical abilities especially with Dark and Earth Magic. They have a long standing feud with The Orcs of The Peaks as they are seen as invaders by them and are attacked at any chance they get. They are one of the founding Races of the Cult of Evergreen.

Living within the Shuduk Mountains they are known as masters of technology, and there is very little one can teach a Dwarf, even the most simple, about technology. They survive by taking care of their own primarily, leaving any other races to die with little care. They have survived the Theysilon Extermination only because they agreed to build war machines for them. When the original Dwarves struck a deal with the Theysilon a small group that spoke out against the agreement were exiled, they eventually ended up in the Shashallah Desert where they live on as scavengers and Raid Clans.

Summary: The Halflings are a peaceful race that rely on their ability to disappear in order to survive any threats. Living with the valley of Rentiel, Haflings have a long history of being neutral in world matters and being the hub for trade. Their many festivals and villages paint them as a happy race without a care, however, when a Halfling masters any type of fighting, they are extremely good at it. They are currently being monitored by the Theysilon as their Valley holds the only entrance to Evergreen.
Beastfolk
Race: Beastfolk

Because of their numbers, Beastfolk have taken an adapting approach to the political climate in Strophya, their alliances changing based on the region they are in. Usually they live within their Tribes in small groups around Strophya, paying tribute to the Empire for their safety. They are highly sought after for the Arena. Dwarves have an unnatural hate for them as they think of themselves too intelligent to think of them as anything other than animals trying to pose as intelligent beings.

Although they are mostly known for their weapon proficiency, there are some who are skilled in Magic. The Enclave is located within the Shashallah Desert, though there are some small pockets of Goblins living in The Peaks that serve as messengers between the Enclave and The Orcs.

No matter the race of the father, Harpies always look like human females with wings, though the wings might differ in color, shape, and length.
